Hip Hop Bounce impresses at competition

Port Pirie's Hip Hop Bounce enjoyed positive results at the Cheercon State Championships in Adelaide this month.

The studio took 75 dancers to compete at the event on November 12 to 14, with fantastic performances and results from all the teams who took part.

It was Hop Hop Bounce's last live event for the year.

Two teams had fine results, with senior group Bounce Beast second overall after being named the All Star Dance Day champions, grabbing the second highest score in All Star Hip Hop and second in their division.

Youth novice group Bounce Bubbles were first in their division and third in the highest score for novice pom.

Hip Hop Bounce's Kellie Sims said it was a great outing for the studio.

"The results were really good," she said.

"Those two achievements are big, that's statewide - Bounce Beast worked super hard this year to get that result and for our youngsters to get those results was great."

She said competitions like these were fantastic exposure for the studio.

"Hip Hop Bounce has been going for 10 years and every year the recognition is more and more, people see the name and you get more enquiries," Ms Sims said.

The remainder of the teams in Adelaide also impressed, with a series of high placings, improved scores and technique, and leaving the stage with no regrets.
