Port Pirie v Roxby Districts

Port Pirie begin their quest to win the Upper North championship when they play Roxby Districts on Saturday in Quorn.

Coach Ben Brown is excited about the squad he has put together and the side is fresh from a convincing win over Rocky River a couple of weeks ago.

The squad is a very good blend of youth and experience. The keys with the bat for the Pirie side over the weekend will be Olly Cosmai, Austin Waters, Zak Hutchinson, Kieran Blackwell, Patrick McNamara and Dan Pine.

Todd Baker, Lachie Pole, Kieran Blackwell, Patrick McNamara and Fraser Wyatt will look to do eth damage with the ball for the Pirie side.

If the side win on Saturday, they will meet either Port Augusta or Whyalla in the final on Sunday.

Round 8 Preview

Solomontown-North v Proprietary - Complex 1

The Cats will be keen for a big win over the bottom placed Panthers when the two sides meet at Complex 1 Saturday morning.

Scott McIntyre, Lee Nash and Jarryd Anderson are the leading run scorers and wicket takers for the Cats so far this season.

The Panthers have struggled so far this year and will need Peter Bessen, Cory Stephenson, Brad Webster and Jack Steff to perform if they are to push the Cats. The Cats to win easily.

Port Germein v Warnertown - Complex 2

The Sharks sit equal top so far this season and will fancy their chances against the Wombats who sit second bottom.

The Sharks most important players are Cody Bray, Sean Grieg and Michael Ashman.

The Wombats have a handful of strong players that need to perform this week in Dylan Brooks, Matt Taylor, Trent Davidson and Jake Brooks. I think the Sharks in a tight one.

South Port v Risdon - Pirie West oval

The Pirates and Tigers will meet at Pirie West on Saturday morning. Sam Ferme, Tyson Fetherstonhaugh and Tom Eberhard will be the keys for the Pirates.

The Tigers sit just inside the four and a win this week is vital for their season. Leigh Hajisavva, Peter Reed, Andrew Haren and Corey Monaghan will b eteh keys this week for the Tigers. The Tigers to win.
