Pigeon Racing in Wirrulla

Homing in from Wirrulla

The Port Pirie Homing Society conducted a race from Wirrulla, a distance of 336 kilometres to the winning loft on Sunday.

The pigeons were released at 8.20am with scattered cloud and no wind.

The winning pigeon flown to the loft of Mark and Janet Moores covered the distance in 4 hrs. 58 mins. to average 68 kilometres per hour for the race.
