The injury-depleted Sydney Roosters have signed outside back Dale Copley for the remainder of the 2021 NRL season.
The journeyman has played 146 NRL games since making his debut with the Brisbane Broncos in 2009, turning out for 14 matches with the Roosters during the 2016 NRL season.
He also had a successful 57-game stint at the Gold Coast but on return to the Broncos this year had featured just twice.
"Dale is a player we know well, so it was a really simple decision to welcome him back to the Roosters and we're excited to have him here," said coach Trent Robinson.
The Roosters have been savaged by injuries in 2021 with the likes of Luke Keary and Joseph Suaalii out for the season, Josh Morris and Matt Ikuvalu unavailable until the finals and Jake Friend, Boyd Cordner and Brett Morris forced to retire.
But the tricolours are still well-placed to make the top four and currently sit in fourth.
Copley has joined the Roosters squad at their hub on the Sunshine Coast.
