Yorke Mid North and Barossa police have joined forces to uncover a major drug operation in Port Broughton.
It is alleged that about 1.30pm on Thursday, July 2 police from the Yorke Mid North Local Service Area searched a house in Port Broughton, following information from their counterparts in the Barossa that drugs were being grown at the house.
Police found 32 large cannabis plants being grown in a complex hydroponic setup, with another 12 plants found at another Port Broughton property.
All of the plants and equipment was seized.
Barossa police later searched a house in Paralowie and arrested a 34-year-old Paralowie man alleged to be the owner of the Port Broughton property.
The man was charged with cultivating a commercial quantity of a controlled drug and has been bailed to appear in the Port Pirie Magistrates Court at a later date.
