Mid North Christian College has benefitted from a $50,000 grant in the state government's Independent Non-Government School Capital GrantFunding program.

The school received the funding to assist in technology upgrades. Education Minister John Gardner advised that their application for funding had been successful.

Member for Frome Geoff Brock congratulated the college and said the program was fantastic for regional non-government schools.

He said the new technology introduced at the college made it easier for every student, regardless of their background.

"Every child will have access to the same technology," he said.

Principal Nigel Bennett said part of the funds would be used to purchase flatscreens for classrooms.

The school has been introducing the screens to classrooms and investing in technology for students.

"The challenge for us is so that kids use it well and responsibly," Mr Bennett said.
