Pop-up playgroup proves popular

A pop-up playgroup session at the Ellen Centre proved a hit with almost 100 people taking part in the activity.

The event was a joint initiative between the Port Pirie West Children's Centre and Learning Together. It was aimed at promoting development, socialisation and learning through play and the importance of families engaging with their children.

There are a variety of playgroups that operate within Port Pirie. Families can access information on these through the Parenting in Pirie Facebook page.

Learning Together's Nicky Welch said they were hopeful that after the success of the session they would be able to undertake further session to cater for the families of Port Pirie. She thanked Blights Real Estate for allowing them to use the premises.
