Following two drivers who were caught drug driving earlier this week, police have stopped another two Pirie drivers on Thursday night who were caught drink and drug driving.
A 49-year-old Port Pirie woman was stopped for testing just before 9.30pm on Thursday, August 15, allegedly returning a blood alcohol reading of 0.091.
She was issued with an instant loss of licence for six months and had her vehicle impounded for 28 days, she will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
The second driver, a 51-year-old man from Port Pirie was stopped an hour later and tested for drugs.
He returned a positive result to methamphetamine, further checks revealed the man was also disqualified from driving.
His vehicle was defected and impounded for 28 days, the driver will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date in relation to driving disqualified and may face drug driving charges pending forensic analysis of his drug test.
