President Ashley Redden along with the show committee invite you all to come along to Crystal Brook's 142nd annual show which is to be held on Saturday, August 10. The special guest to open the show is Tony Modra. Tony, a former AFL player who started his AFL playing career with the Adelaide Crows, has kindly accepted an invitation to open the show at 11.15am.
Tony will be participating in the SA Variety Bash and will divert off the designated route to come to the show. He will be in the Villis car which will be available for children to look at. Come along and meet Tony - he is a great supporter of all things country especially country shows
Animals & reptiles galore
Farmer Darcy will be bringing their pet zoo along where children can mix with the animals for a pat and to feed them. These petting zoos have always been a great attraction with the children and they are sure to enjoy this display at the show.
A new attraction at the show will be Wilbur's Wildlife Animals Anonymous which is an up close native animal experience where there will be a display of native animals for all to interact with. They have more than 150 animals, however, they can't bring them all so come along for a look and see what interesting species they bring along - you may be quite surprised by what you see.
Show Day Entertainment
Entertainment throughout the day will provide great times for all. James the Magician will perform on the stage, John O'Dea with fill the rec centre with music and singing and the Clare Valley Concert Band will re-appear with their wonderful repertoire of music and singing. Into the evening, Andrew Lange will perform by the White Elephant bar.
Sideshow alley will have plenty of rides for all to enjoy, there will be horses in action on the oval, sheep and cattle to check out as well as lots of interesting stalls.
The office is open each weekday from 9am to 5pm leading up to the show. Should you need any help prior to this contact secretary Christine Wood on 0474 502 241 or email her on email@example.com
The Show Committee would like to thank everyone who helps out with the running of the show including the convenors, stewards, exhibitors and to all those who help prepare the grounds leading up to show day. To all exhibitors who come back year after year to compete and to all new exhibitors - thanks for taking the time to put your entries together to make the show the success that it is today. Convenors spend many hours preparing their sections each year and it great on show day to see the shelves full of entries.
