Images of Port Pirie's Memorial Oval showpiece have been seen on the other side of the world.
The oval, and other local landmarks, features in a JLT Community Series-AFL video production shown in London.
The video was made to promote the city and the Summer Showdown football match between the Crows and Power in Port Pirie on March 2.
It was originally screened on television football shows, but found its way to London with former Port Pirie Regional Council chief executive officer Andrew Johnson.
Dr Johnson, who was working for the Local Government Association of South Australia, used the video in a presentation that he made there three weeks ago.
Mayor Leon Stephens said he later had a message from Dr Johnson to say "look you are everywhere - even in London".
"It is brilliant to have us promoted anywhere on a positive note which is exactly what we have been doing," Mr Stephens said.
Mr Stephens appears in the video while standing beside the oval fence.
The video shows the silos, the harbour, the main street, the new $25 million sport hub and action from the Summer Showdown. Favourite son and former Crows captain Mark Bickley features in the clip as do Travis Auld, of the AFL, and Tony Gray, of JLT.
One of the messages that pops up on the screen is: "Port Pirie is a winning sporting community".
The match launched the new sport precinct to Port Pirie and the world. Despite the 40C heat, the day was judged a success for the Port Pirie Regional Council team who developed the project.
The SANFL will host a Showdown between Port and the Crows at the oval next month.
