The Masters Round Robin softball competition could not have been scripted any better with the last two games scheduled for Sunday resulting in a play off for third and fourth and first and second respectively.

Port Pirie was represented by the Pirates and the Pandas, Yorkers attended from Yorke Peninsula and Valkyries (loosely translated from the Nordic -warrior women) represented Adelaide Districts.

Make no mistake - Masters are awesome and there certainly was some good talent on display. Well done to Port Pirie softball's ambassadors Anthea Dunbar and Evelyn Dumoi for bringing the competition together and to all volunteers who helped over the weekend to make the tournament a success.

Games Ambassador Michelle den Dekker attended the Leonard Park complex on Saturday morning and asked if she could join in a game - Pirie Pirates obliged - no pressure - loaded bases, but den Dekker didn't let the team down - it shows in the score book as a safe hit to left field. The Games Ambassador autographed a softball to commemorate the occasion. This softball was presented to the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, Taryn Ruediger from Valkyries.
