Hip Hop Bounce are preparing for their spectaculars, their end of year concerts which will be held over the next two weekends.

The concert will display an array of work from all students from all campuses, including from performances at interstate competitions to others at states and trainings.

Director of Hip Hop Bounce Natasha English-McCulloch said that the audience should expect a large amount of colour, in addition to a short journey that follows the story line of the Wizard of Oz.

“Each class puts together their own piece. It will contain work that they have done throughout the whole year. It might be technical exercises and choreography that is then put into a piece made for the performance”, she explained.

“There will be lots of colour. We are doing a ‘bounce into Oz’, we aren’t doing the story of the Wizard of Oz but we are doing little snippets. There will be lots of energy and excitement.”

Additionally at the concerts, students will be handed out several awards which embody what the dance school stands for. These include the spirit, mentor and performance award.

The most prized awards are the overall dancer of the year and a scholarship given to a Port Pirie student to work one on one with Natasha in the following year.

The concerts for each campus will be on December 8, 9 and 15. Tickets are available at the Country Arts SA website.
