Christmas tree festival 2018 | GALLERY

It is time for people in Port Pirie to put up their Christmas trees as the Christmas tree festival officially starts this week.

The festival held at Lighthouse Uniting Church will be celebrating their 60th year of festivities this year, after it was started by a small group of YWCA women who wanted to fundraise for the local organisation in 1958.

The Christmas tree festival will be open on Thursday and Friday, November 29 and 30 from 10 am until 6pm, with a cake cutting on Thursday at 10.30.

On Saturday, the festival will be open from 10 am until 2pm, with a car boot sale in the carpark from 9 am until 1pm.
