Sharks post 69-run win

Port Germein v Warnertown

Port Germein continue to take all before them as they defeated the Wombats by 69 runs on the weekend.  The Sharks were bowled out for 191 on the last ball of the innings.

Jeff Twigden (64) and Dan Pine (54) joined together for an opening partnership of 118.  

Dylan Brooks was the best with the ball for the Wombats taking 3/37. The Wombats could only reply with 122 with Jarryd Anderson top scoring with 46. Mack Brentson claimed 3/30 for the Sharks.  

Risdon v Proprietary

The Tigers defeated the Panthers by four wickets at Port Oval on Saturday.  The Panthers were bowled out for 90. Sean Grieg (12) and Surender Singh (11) the top scorers.  

Leigh Hajisavva (3/12) and Andrew Haren (3/42) the main wicket takers for the Tigers. Hajisavva then steered the Tigers home in the 28th over finishing 46 not out.  

Surender Singh (3/18) and Adam Conradi (2/15) were the best with the ball for the Panthers.

Wandearah v South Port

The Rams completed a comfortable seven wicket victory over the Pirates at Complex 1.  The Pirates were bowled out for 50 with Ben Luteria top scoring making 15 not out. Imran Hashmi had a day to remember with the ball taking 5/8 from seven overs.  

It took the Rams just under 18 overs to pass the required runs with Kynan Crouch top scoring finishing 19 not out. Tyson Fetherstonhaugh (2/26) and Liam Dreaver (1/16) claimed the wickets for the Pirates.

U16 Combined

The U16 combined fell 24 runs short in their match against Port Augusta at Quorn.  Port Augusta made 9/199 from their 40 overs. With the ball for Pirie Luke Folwer claimed 2/7.  

Harrison Farrugia, Charlie Webb, Bailey Congdon and Nathan Sorensen all took one wicket each. In reply the Pirie boys were bowled out for 175 with two overs to spare.  Hugh Jackson did a great job carrying his bat finishing 67 not out.

Tyson Hanlon also batted well making 45. The team put up a great effort despite only having 10 players – what could have been if they had had an extra fielder and batter.  Thank you to all the parents that drove their children to Port Augusta and Quorn over the past two weekends and a big thank you to Andrew Fowler for coaching the side.
