The Port Pirie Tennis Hot Shots program is all about making tennis easy to play and fun for children.

It’s something Port Pirie is very proud to be involved in.

ANZ Tennis Hot Shots is one of Australia’s largest and fastest growing junior participation programs that uses smaller racquets, modified nets and low compression balls to help encourage children to learn the sport through play. Local Hot Shots coach, Grant Hanlon, said the children, aged 5,6,7 years old, are engaged and motivated to learn.

“The sessions are held in a fun, friendly environment with parents or relatives/friends of the children on court for support and encouragement,” he said.

There will be five Sunday sessions of Tennis Hot Shots in Term 4 this year starting this Sunday, October 21.

To book a spot in either Kangaroo Squad (9.30 to 10.15), or Koala Squad (10.30 to 11.15), contact Grant Hanlon 0414 320 840.

In other tennis news, the summer season starts this Friday, October 19. Juniors start on October 27.
