Relay for Life team Cancer Busters will hold a night with football great John Cahill in an effort to raise money towards the 2019 event.
Cahill, a former player and VFL/AFL coach, will talk at the Solomontown Football Club on Saturday, October 13, at 7pm (doors open at 6.30pm), and is sure to interest football buffs in the community.
The Cancer Busters team hope the event will be a major fundraiser for them. Team captain, David Cable, said Cahill was an interesting character and was sure to interest more than the football community. The team thanked local businesses for donating items towards the event.
Tickets to the night are $10. Drinks and nibbles will be available to buy, and there will be an auction and raffle on the night. Tickets are available from Solomontown Football Club, Scrap’in Shack and Wraptz Gifts or by phoning Tricia Cable on 0410 960 432.
The team will also have a stall at the Relay for Life Car Boot Sale on November 17.
