One of Australia’s most loved entertainers Denise Drysdale brings her best stories, songs and comedy to the stage in July as part of the Morning Melodies Series, presented by Country Arts SA.
With more than 50 years in the entertainment business, from the early days on Kommotion, through the popular late night variety shows such as In Melbourne Tonight and The Don Lane Show, to more recent co-hosting on the morning chat show Studio 10, Denise has won the hearts of millions of Australians.
Whether it’s singing great songs, doing impersonations, particularly her famous ‘chook walk’ or cracking gags, the Gold Logie winning television personality, singer, dancer and comedian is without peer as she whole-heartedly entertains her audiences.
Expect to be entertained with comedy and patter, great stories and songs such as Vince Gill’s Look at Us and Being Green, sprinkled with a Dusty Springfield medley.
In addition to the main stage performance, and in keeping with Country Arts SA’s previous work in Arts and Health, a new initiative to support non-mobile residents in aged care will see Denise stage a short 30 minute acoustic performance, with a meet and greet, in an aged care facility in each region.
Affectionately called Ding Dong, Denise Drysdale is an entertainment phenomenon not to be missed.
Ticket price includes free morning tea from 10am.
The show’s duration is 75 minutes with meet and greet after the show.
