Members of the public were able to see the centre's new facilities which include change rooms, canteen, function centre, community fitness centre, public toilets and a storage room.
yourtown was contracted to project manage the work and complete construction using their own paid Work (Social) Enterprise crews and volunteer labour.
President of the Crystal Brook Community Recreation Centre, Phil Weckert, said the committee rallied the state government Department of Recreation and Sport who contributed close to $300,000 to the project.
"We were also fortunate to be granted $150,000 from Port Pirie Regional Council,” Mr Weckert said.
“Much of this funding was matched by local community groups through a combination of funds and work in kind.”
Speaking at the show opening, Mrs Marks said she loved how the event brought out the best in people.
