Sisters hit high notes

Aislynn and Ayeisha Everett may seem like loving sisters, but the Port Pirie singers held nothing back when they vied for gold in Queensland.

Aislynn, 11, earned silver at the TFT National Championships on the Gold Coast with Ayeisha, 10, hot on her heels to claim the bronze.

The girls had to learn much of the song Candyman minutes before the performance then sang it in a group and solo.

They then had to improvise dance moves while singing.

The rivalry between the sisters is strong with Aislynn taking out the gold medal earlier this year at the South Australian championships while Ayeisha sang well to clinch the silver.

“Music is pretty much our life,” Aislynn said.

“Whenever we get spare time, we sing. Our parents sing, too. It is their job.”

This is not the first taste of the big stage for the girls either because Aislynn has performed in Alice in Wonderland and as Maria in the Sound of Music, while Ayeisha recently won gold in the Future Legends for Hip-Hop Bounce.

There was never a chance that the sisters would not be talented singers with their mother Tarina running Bounce Sing from the start and their father Scott being a stand-out strong-voiced singer.

The couple even once owned the music store Mr Music.
