Lions vs Central

Saturday

Port Oval

Prop/Risdon have a chance to get their season underway as they play the other winless side in the league Central in Port Pirie.

The Lions have started the season competitively but unable to get the win to kick start their season.

Their squad will improve as the weeks go on with a number of key players to return, allowing Dunkley the ability to mix up the team and also add depth to the squad.

Central have had a tough start to the season and their overall losing margins have been far greater than Lions.

I think Lions will get on the winners list this week and with some key players back in will kick start their season.

Port vs West Augusta

Port Oval

Sunday

An absolute cracking game will take place on Sunday when Port host the hot West Augusta side.

This game has come at a great time for Port after a solid victory last week.

Their confidence will be sky high and the challenge of taking on the top team will be one I'm sure they will embrace.

Port have a great blend of players across the park this season and if they can get their game plan right I expect them to be up and about in September.

Westies have started the season in top form and head to Pirie for the first time loaded with confidence and plenty to play for.

Port to win by three points.

South Vs Sollies

Port Augusta

Saturday

Sollies head back up the A1 as they do battle with an up and down South team on Saturday.

Solly have been the impressive outfit catching the attention so far.

A solid pre-season, a dedication from its players and a solid list have all contributed to a great start and they will be looking to bolster that this week.

McIntyre, Redman and Bearman are dominating the midfield battles and if they can execute their skills, the Solly forwards should find plenty of opportunities to score.

Their [Port] confidence will be sky high and the challenge of taking on the top team will be one I'm sure they will embrace.

South are the reigning premiers and had a shock loss last week and will be firing to get back in the winner’s circle this week.

A great game on paper but I can't see South doing enough to beat a hot Sollies outfit.
