Nyrstar is cleaning and greening the city with the new Ten for Them water cart washing down community playgrounds every week.
Allen ‘Barney’ Barnett and Darryl ‘Choofy’ Ellis routinely high pressure clean local playgrounds.
The water used in the Nyrstar water cart will come from the new water recycle plant, which is also being used in the community for greening, wetting and washing down.
The water recycle plant has been partially funded by Nyrstar, the Port Pirie Regional Council and the Federal Government.
Solomontown Beach playground, Flinders View Park playground, Tennyson playground, Woodward Park playground, Port Pirie Tennis Centre playground, netball courts playground and Port Football Club playground are currently on the cleaning schedule.
Nyrstar shares the cleaning responsibilities with council.
More playgrounds will continue to be added to this list, so community members can refer to Ten for Them’s Facebook page or the www. tenforthem.com on the News tab for updated list of playgrounds and the days they are cleaned.
