The rain clouds cleared up just in time for local tennis to complete their second last game before they wind up for the Christmas break.
In the A grade Napperby were to strong at home and beat Risdon Uniting quite comfortably 10 rubbers to two.
Katelyn Mudge and Caitlin Stephens bounced back well after their doubles defeat to both win their singles against quality opponents.
Mudge defeated Kathy Gould 6-2 and Stephens Caitlin defeated Rachel Tubb 6-3.
In the mens Brodie Mudge had a good win agaisnt Uniting number one David McInerney 6 -3.
In the other A grade match Railway went down narrowlyin consecutive weeks losing six rubbers seven sets to Trinitys six rubbers 10 sets.
Young gun Daniel Hobart continues his rapid rise with a 6-7 lose to Pirie’s number one man in Greg Phillips .
The contest between these two teams produced a lot of closely fought rubbers.
In the B grade Wandearah and Napperby Blue both had easy victories against Trinity and Risdon Uniting.
In the other match Napperby Gold got home nine rubbers to seven against Railway Pennant.
Up and coming Trinity player Danielle Wright showed good form with strong wins in both her doubles and singles.
