Germein golfers win at association day

Port Germein Golf Club members made up four teams for the Northern District Golf SA Association Day on Sunday, August 21 – with one team finishing third and another winning the handicap event.

Winning third prize in the 27-hole Ambrose event was the Port Germein number one team of Craig Dodd, Brian Leue, Matthew Mudge and Gary Spence, with 94.

Port Germein number three team won the handicap event with 83.

That team consisted of Darren Mudge, Ian Mudge, Warren Morrell and Norm Debari.

In all 25 teams of four players took part with 10 clubs represented – Crystal Brook, Gladstone, Jamestown, Orroroo, Peterborough, Port Broughton, Port Germein, Snowtown, Wirrabara and Yacka.

This weekend Port Germein Golf Club members will play the final round of the club championship – a 27-hole stroke event.
