Risdon robbed by rain

19 Dec, 2011 03:54 PM
The rain came a bit too early for the Risdon A-grade side on Saturday against Solomontown.

Sollies had batted first and only managed to post a score of 53 against some good bowling from Risdon.

Sollies’ top scorer was Ash Johnson with 15.

Jarrad Adams was the best of the bowlers taking 4/14 in a great spell of bowling.

Rob Anderson and Brad Pine both finished the day with 2/0.

In reply Risdon were 1/13 off of two overs when the rain came and stopped play.

Jeff Twigden was 12 not out and Tyler Thorpe had 1/8.

Solomontown managed to dodge a bullet in this one, with Risdon very unlucky not to take full points for this match.
