Cricket washed out again

09 Jan, 2012 03:26 PM
Only one match of cricket was completed in Port Pirie Cricket Association on the weekend.

Risdon defeated Port Germein in the B-grade game played on Saturday afternoon, while rain washed out all other games played Saturday morning.

In the B grade, Sollies were batting and were 3/148 against Strykers when the rain came.

Darian Hayes was on 55 not out and Dave Hayes 48 not out.

Other notable scores came from J Zubrinich who made 21.

A Quin had taken two wickets for 43, to be the Strykers’ best bowler.

South Port were 3 for 113 against Warnertown when rain stopped play.

Wayne Gray was 42 not out, while Tim Bessen had made 29 and Chris Pollard 18.

Darren Lloyd picked up 2/23 to be the Wombats’ best bowler.

Wandearah were in a bit of trouble against Props at 6/77 before the rain saved them.

James Ganley was the highest scorer in that game with 13 not out.

Props’ bowlers Levi Goodridge had taken 3/28 and Riley Fowler 3/14 when play was stopped.
