There were two big winning margins in Port Pirie A grade baseball last Friday night at Memorial Oval and a protest lodged over the Cats Blue and Panthers B grade game.
Panthers had the double-header in A grade last Friday night with the early game against Tigers, with Tigers going on a run scoring spree in a game which also saw four home runs.
At the top of the innings Tigers had its first two batters on base when hit by a pitched ball (HPB).
Mick Waters was then walked, Casey O’Neill doubled to centre field, scoring Lynch and Waters and then David Keynes put the ball over the fence for a two-run homer.
Tigers scored five runs in the innings to take the early lead.
Panthers Scott Priess was the lead-off batter in the bottom of the innings and he put the ball over the fence for a solo home run.
Unfortunately for Panthers this was its only score of the night.
Tigers then scored 18 runs in the second innings batting through their line-up twice with 16 safe hits in the innings.
Several players had multiple safe hits in this batting rally, which also included home runs to Cody Eglington and Jordan Fuller.
Panthers could not score in the bottom of the second innings so Tigers finished easy winners 23 runs to one.

In the second game of the double-header Panthers played top team Cats.
Unfortunately for Panthers Cats also went on run scoring spree as it almost batted through its line-up twice in the top of the first innings.
However, unlike Tigers in the early game, Cats only had three safe hits in the innings.
Kieran Clayton, pitching for Panthers, lacked control on the mound walking four batters and hitting four more, before he was replaced by Corey Stephenson.
Cats scored 12 runs in the innings to set itself up for an easy win.
Panthers did threaten in the bottom of the first innings after lead-off batters Scott Priess reached base on an error.
Ashley Smith then singled to left field.
Daniel Tucker hit to second base scoring Priess but Cats had the double play on Smith and Tucker.
Cats then made the third out on Lenny Starke to end the innings and stop Panthers from scoring further.
Cats scored one more run in the second innings and two more in the fourth, which included a solo home from Troy Harrison to give Cats an easy win 15 runs to one.
