‘Red hot’ Props to play Risdon

08 Jan, 2010 10:58 AM

This game will be played between arch rivals in the fourth placed Risdon and the red hot and inform first placed Props who are no doubt the best team at the moment.

Risdon were impressive last week in their victory over Sollies but must put in an even better

performance this week if they are to beat Props and their victory was set up by some fine bowling efforts by their younger brigade in Jarrad Adams, Brad Pine and Zac Hutchinson who both took four wickets each in good efforts.

And they must continue this form in this match with the

support coming from Jeff Twigden and Cameron Pine.

As for their batting Jeff Twigden returned to form last week with 59 not out in a pleasing sign for them and he must take that form into this match.

Last week Kai Solomon and Damien Wauchope both returned which is good for Risdon but they must continue to play. The rest of the lineup in Hutchinson and the Pine boys must apply themselves and put their head down. As for their opponent in Props what more can you say apart from they are red hot and have not lost a game since round 1.

When you look at their side they clearly have the best batting lineup in the competition with top order players of the caliber of Andrew Fuchs, Dwayne Sedunary and Simon Fuchs who are as good as any going around.

And then their middle order is equally as strong with the likes of Richard Cable, Peter Bessen, Lazro Kovacevic and Adam Wade all good players.

After their batting gets the job done their bowlers play their part with Tyson Hornsell the leading wicket taker in the competition having a fine year as is Johnno Makai who has been a real fire for Props with his bowling.

They can also call on the likes of Kain Wallace and Daniel Hastings to bowl some overs with their medium pace and they also have the advantage over othersides as they have to good spin bowlers in off spinner Tate Bradley and leg spinner Simon Fuchs who is really bowling well at the moment.

So Props have by far the better side and the lot better form so they should record an easy victory in this match.
