Brock to take up the fight

13 Feb, 2012 03:01 PM
Our local parliamentarian will take the fight up to the State Government.

Independent Member for Frome Geoff Brock said he was disappointed Port Pirie was not included in the ports report, but “just because we are not included, it does not mean we are not going to fight”.

He said he would talk to Mineral Resources and Energy Minister Tom Koutsantonis this week about opportunities for the region.

“Just because we are not mentioned, it does not mean we are not in the equation for opportunities,” he said.

“Port Pirie is shovel-ready for export opportunities for the Braemar Alliance and other associated industries.”

He encouraged interested parties to unite to promote the city’s strengths and opportunities.

“We need to improve the aesthetics of our city and facilities to make it attractive for people to live with all the associated activities,” he said.
